Canine Good Citizenship & Therapy Dog Inc. Test
Canine Good Citizenship (CGC) and Therapy Dog Inc. tests are held at the Richmond Dog Obedience Club four times a year.
CGC Registration is between 8:30 and 9:15 a.m. The actual testing begins at 8:45 a.m. The test runs for as long as we have participants waiting. Generally, the tests are finished by 11:30 a.m. The fee for the test is $10.00. Please bring proof of your dog's rabies vaccination and your dog's brush. Visit the AKC web site (http://www.akc.org/events/cgc/training_testing.cfm) for the CGC test requirements and further information. If you would like further information, contact: Ron Smith at (804) 402-3562.

We welcome visitors.
New Member Orientation
New Member Orientation meetings are held 4 times a year. Learn how to become a member of our club. The meetings will be held at the Richmond Dog Obedience Club at 8 p.m. Dates can be found on our events calendar.
We encourage our trainees to become club members. This process includes several participation requirements but provides a great opportunity to meet a variety of club members and gain a greater appreciation for how the club functions.

Tattoo Facts:
Tattooing is painless. Your dog will have permanent identification even in cases where his collar is lost or removed. If your dog is turned in to a shelter, a tatoo will gain him extra time.
A tattoo prevents laboratories from using your dog for experimental purposes. Your dog's number can be registered with a national registry, which makes his return possible in any state. Not all shelters have the microchip wand and the tattoo is visible. Great for locating and identifying lost hunting dogs!
